Putting on Compression Socks and Compression Stockings
A common, recommended varicose veins treatment or spider vein treatment is wearing compression socks or compression stockings. While these socks and stockings won’t remove varicose or spider veins, they do help to reduce the pain and symptoms associated with venous insufficiency. They help make leg pain less severe, reduce ankle and leg swelling (or edema), and lessen other symptoms such as leg cramps and aching.
